Questions, Answered
What Shamanic Healing Is
- A gentle, ceremonial way of working with the deeper layers of you, through sacred vocal sound, focused intention and subtle energetic technique.
- Held one to one, in person, in a safe and confidential space, at a pace that is right for you.
- Offered as a complement to medical and psychological care, alongside it, never in place of it.
What It Is Not
- It is not a sound bath or a group relaxation session. This is focused, individual work.
- It is not a massage or hands-on bodywork.
- It is not talking therapy, though we will gently talk about what brings you.
- It is not Reiki, though it shares Reiki's gentleness. Where Reiki is still and receptive, shamanic work is active and interactive.
- It is not a diagnosis or a cure, and never a replacement for your doctor's advice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this like a sound bath?
No. A sound bath is usually a group relaxation. This is focused, one-to-one work held just for you.
What if I do not feel anything?
Many people feel little in the moment, and some drift into deep relaxation or fall asleep. The work continues to settle gently in the days afterwards.
Do I need to believe in it for it to work?
No particular belief is needed. Coming open, or simply curious, is enough.
Is it safe alongside therapy or medication?
Yes. It sits alongside medical and psychological care and never replaces it. Please keep any treatment in place, and I am always glad to talk it through first.
What happens in a first session?
A warm welcome and gentle conversation, the grounding, the healing work, then time to come back to earth. Allow one to two hours, and you are never rushed.
How might I feel afterwards?
People often feel tender, open, and sometimes tired. I will share simple aftercare, and there is a full guide on the Aftercare page.
Do you work remotely?
Healing sessions are in person only, in Prestwich. Rune readings can be done remotely.
Can I bring something specific to work on?
Yes. You can share as much or as little as you wish, and we begin from there.
