About: Meet Louise

I grew up on the shores of Loch Lomond, in a small town ringed by parks and forest. I spent most of my childhood playing in the woods near home. Growing up in Scotland means growing up steeped in its mythology and folklore. I was fascinated by it from an early age.

There's a particular kind of energy around that landscape. I spent long evenings lochside, appreciating the moon and stars and the Milky Way overhead. I'd listen to the waves on the shore for hours. The stillness and beauty always calms me, and I would go there particularly in times of stress. It guided me towards something long before I had words to describe it.

I came to Reiki more directly. My mother was dying, and I was searching for a way to ease her passing, to sit with her, hold her hand, and intentionally send her love, peace and comfort in her final days. That experience took me from Reiki practitioner through to Master Teacher, and it taught me something I didn't expect: how to stop overthinking whether the energy was "really" there, and instead trust it, to understand myself as a conduit, moving energy without drawing on my own, and to trust that it works, even quietly. Reiki is gentle enough that most of my clients fall asleep during a session; they rarely feel it happening in any dramatic way, and that used to make me doubt myself before I learned to trust the process.

Shamanic healing is a different depth of the same territory. Where Reiki is largely still and receptive, shamanic work is active, interactive, and often vivid: journeying, working with spirit allies, soul retrieval, ancestral work. I trained with Jay and Kestrel at the Bridget Healing Centre in Glastonbury on the Call of the Shaman course, and it gave me a way to work with people that goes much deeper than energy alone.

I practise as Indigo Forest Wild from Prestwich, Greater Manchester. I work with you in person only, so I can hold you safely in that sacred space and let you go as deep as the work calls for. I'm fully insured with Balens.

If any of this speaks to you, I'd love to hear from you.
